Sharks stretch win streak to four with balanced road performance at Calvary Day

May River’s girls lacrosse team showcased balance and depth in an 18–4 victory over Calvary Day.

The Sharks extended their season‑opening win streak to four during their March 10 trip to Calvary Day.

May River paired efficient offense with relentless field play, consistently turning possessions into points while limiting Calvary Day’s chances. Freshman attacker Ella Claire Harwell led the effort with five goals and two assists, finishing with seven points on a .625 shooting clip. Junior Meredith Kelly added three goals, two assists, and nine draw controls to control the midfield, while Landrum Barnes contributed a goal and four assists to highlight the Sharks’ unselfish ball movement.

The Sharks converted 18 goals on 33 shots and spread production across nine scorers. Marley Pribanic and Shannon Kelly each scored twice, with Abigail Rossillo adding three points. Defensively, May River forced 18 turnovers and collected 21 ground balls, and freshman goalie Miah Dray made four saves to anchor the back line.

Up next, the May River High School varsity lacrosse team has a home conference game against Beaufort High School on March 12 at 6 pm. The Sharks will go into the game with an overall record of 4-1.

The teams last met April 11, 2025, when the May River varsity lacrosse team won a home conference game against Beaufort by a score of 16-3.
