In a defensive contest under the coastal Carolina lights, the May River High School Sharks secured a 10–6 victory over Beaufort High on Friday night, October 24, 2025.
According to the game report, the Sharks relied heavily on their ground attack, amassing 245 rushing yards. Senior Sean Mitchell led this effort with 121 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries. Quarterback Luc Tran contributed an additional 81 yards through designed runs, navigating the Eagles’ defense effectively.
While May River’s passing game was non-existent with zero yards recorded, their defense played a pivotal role. Linebacker Zavier Polite made significant contributions with six solo tackles and a sack, maintaining constant pressure in the backfield. Hudson Tanner and Devin Ryan provided crucial tackles for loss, while Brahlin Paylor intercepted a pass to thwart a late Beaufort drive.
