May River Sharks defeated Beaufort Eagles 20–1 in a girls varsity lacrosse conference game.
The game took place at May River High School and featured a strong offensive performance from the Sharks.
May River’s attack ran crisp and confident, stacking 20 goals on 35 shots behind one of its most balanced scoring efforts of the season. Freshman Ella Claire Harwell powered the offense with a nine‑point night—five goals and four assists—while shooting .556 on a team‑high nine attempts. Sophomore Gracyn Hoover delivered her most complete outing yet, finishing with six points on a perfect 3‑for‑3 shooting line and adding three assists. Meredith Kelly matched Hoover’s three goals and added two helpers of her own, and junior Landrum Barnes chipped in a highly efficient three goals on four shots. With eight different scorers contributing, the Sharks’ ball movement and shot selection kept pressure on the defense from every angle.
The victory comes ahead of May River’s next conference road game against Hilton Head Island Seahawks, scheduled for March 19.
