The May River Sharks delivered a dominant performance, overwhelming the Beaufort Eagles in a 15–0 shutout victory to secure their first win of the season.

The matchup marked the first win of the season for the Sharks. May River quickly took control of the contest, scoring 13 runs in the second inning. Kali Clark led the offense with a home run and three RBIs, while Olivia Nagel contributed a triple and three RBIs. Pitcher Caydon Swofford delivered three scoreless innings and added a double and an RBI offensively. The Sharks finished with 10 hits and limited Beaufort to two hits in what was described as a commanding all-around performance.
Looking ahead, May River’s varsity softball team is scheduled for an away conference game against Bluffton High School on March 20 at 7 p.m. The Sharks will enter that matchup with an overall record of 1-1.
