The May River Lady Sharks girls varsity volleyball team faced a defeat against Gray Collegiate Academy, losing 1-3 in their playoff match.
May River High School participated in the away playoff match on October 29. According to reports, the Lady Sharks fought hard but ultimately fell to the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles with scores of 19-25, 21-25, 25-23, and 26-28. Aurora Rieck was the top scorer for May River with 18 points, followed by Jensen Skirtich who contributed 10 points.
The May River Lady Sharks are now focusing on preparations for the upcoming season. They aim to challenge conference rivals and compete at a high level. With returning talent and proven teamwork, they are preparing for another competitive season in 2026, aspiring to rise among the state’s top programs.
