Hilton Head Island secured a 31–15 victory over May River High School on October 17, 2025, in a competitive Friday night football game.

Despite the Sharks’ robust ground attack, which generated 180 total rushing yards, their offense struggled with passing. Quarterback Luc Tran completed none of his single passing attempt, forcing May River to depend heavily on its rushing team. Senior Sean Mitchell carried the ball 31 times for 99 yards and scored a touchdown, while Justin Head contributed 60 yards on 15 carries.

Defensively, according to reports, linebacker Hudson Tanner and safety Brayden Harris were pivotal for the Sharks, combining for a total of 19 tackles. However, penalties amounting to 57 yards and three turnovers hindered their efforts.

As the game concluded with Hilton Head leading 31-15, Sharks fans departed quietly as their team looked ahead to next week’s challenge.
